Frequently Asked Questions
Where can my group have a class at?
Depending on the class, we can be completely mobile, meaning we can teach the classroom portions in the comfort of your own home, but we must conduct live fire exercises at safe and proper locations.
We have taught classes in traditional settings, such as meeting rooms and churches, BUT we have also taught in untraditional settings, like a backyard and living room.
Do I need my own firearm for class?
It is perferred, but we understand that not everyone has found the firearm that works for them YET. Contact us after booking your class to arrange for a rental gun. Ammunition needs to be provided or can be purchased at cost from us. We also offer First Time Buyer Consultations.
How old do you have to be to take a class?
You need to be 21 or older to take a NRA firearms training class. You must also be legally able to possess a firearm.
BUT stayed tuned for our Youth Introduction to Firearms and Firearm Safety class. Its in the works!
What gun should I buy?
That is for you to decide. But with the help of a trained, experienced professional who cares; you can find the best firearm that fits you, your needs, and your abilities.
What should I bring to class?
CLASSROOM: You will need a notebook and a black pen. Please print out any materials sent to you via email. Please bring your own snacks and drinks. Most important though is a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
RANGE: Sunscreen and sunglasses are a good idea. You will need your firearm, ammunition, eye and ear protection, and a resealable drink container.
Dress code: Closed toe shoes, no v-neck or deep scoop shirts (hot brass can burn)
*NOTE* If you are taking a class that includes "Draw From The Holster", you must wear supportive pants or shorts with a waistband. We recommend you wear a belt to help support your holster.
